Mediation
We provide qualified Mediators. Mediation is available to resolve disputes in such diverse areas as family relationships, accidents, banking, finance and commerce, consumer contracts, insurance, leases, real estate and transportation.
Judges and lawyers suggest mediation as an alternative to litigation. In many cases, through mediation, the parties reach agreement, thus saving themselves emotional and financial costs. The process can begin immediately, whereas disputes settled pursuant to court proceedings often take years. Parties in dispute choose a mediator, an impartial third party neutral, who helps them reach their mutually-acceptable settlement.
It is recommended that a qualified mediator with the C-Med designation is choosen. Learn more about C-Med here
Education & Training
Conflict is a natural part of life and growth. By developing self-awareness and communication skills, we can work on the challenge and growth conflict presents. Our workshops explore the roots of conflict with an emphasis on self awareness, empathy and tolerance:
- Conflict Resolution for Managers - Managers will learn a facilitative approach to conflict resolution.
- Conflict Resolution for Frontline Staff – Staff learn to deal with one to one conflict and ways to formulate solutions to disagreements they may have with co-workers or clients.
- Conflict and Accommodation – Participants will learn how to navigate conflict when it involves an individual with a disability or seniors.
Our workshops can be customized for your group or team. We offer 3 hour and 6 hour workshops. Workbooks and certificates are provided to all participants that attend workshops.
Focus Groups and Group Facilitation
The goal of the Focus Groups or Group Facilitations is to promote continuous quality improvements, enhance customer/client and staff satisfaction. Although we use a specific framework for this service it is customized to meet the need of each client.
Arbitration
Arbitration is a process whereby parties in dispute refer their disagreement to a mutually acceptable, knowledgeable, independent third party – an arbitrator – agreeing in advance to be bound by the arbitrator’s decision.
Some disputes, by their very nature, can only be settled by litigation. The majority, however, can be settled by arbitration, with significant benefits to the parties involved and to society at large. Arbitration, by its very nature, is less likely than litigation to result in ill-will between the parties involved. It increases the chances of reaching an agreement that will satisfy both parties and allow them to work together again in the future.
